This is Gabriel John Miller's Memorial Website... Gabey was born in Orlando, Florida on April 22, 1981, and moved to Heaven from his apartment in Knoxville, TN on August 14, 2006 at the age of 25 years young... We know that Gabriel loved Jesus... and we believe that he is in a better place now... no longer tormented by hurts and addictions... but we still miss him so very much... In his Bible were two verses, recently written down, Ezra 9:9 & Colossians 2:13... They both talk about a wonderful Lord, caring about and loving His people, in spite of their bondage and sin...

Gabriel once told me that he had realized that doing drugs wasn’t “cool”... it was just a really bad choice… He knew that drugs were ruining his life, and hurting the lives of the people who loved him the most… and he was trying really hard to win the battle over addiction... and he almost did… After about three years of a horrible addiction, he got clean and stayed clean for about nine months… but he was still craving the Oxycontin every day…
   ...So he decided to go the Methadone route to get over the Oxycontin cravings… he then found himself abusing and addicted to Methadone… so he went off of Methadone for about a month, and thought he was going to make it… and, though he had been on a waiting list for a rehab, he thought he was out of the woods and decided not to go… Well, two weeks later, he either relapsed, or didn’t feel good, maybe took some for pain, or to sleep, or something… but his drug tolerance level was down... he took some Methadone... went to sleep, and never woke up on this earth...
   ...Drug addiction is literal torment... There is physical pain and sickness when you Do drugs, and also when you Need drugs, There is Guilt and Shame from the things that you do to get drugs... Gabriel also found out that Drinking and Driving only leads to trouble, sometimes death, but always trouble... So, if you're thinking about trying some drugs, Don't... If you're just messing around with drinking and drugs, trying to Party a little, then please take Gabriel's advice and STOP... there are more fun, safe, and beautiful ways to LIVE... If you've got a drug problem, PLEASE get help, before its too late... God loves you and wants to help... but you've got to want help, and you've got to work at it...
   ...The name "Gabriel" means "messenger of God"... well, Gabriel has a message for you today... He once told me that he didn't start out to do drugs and be rebellious, or to become an addict... he said that he was just curious, and just wanted to "Party a little"... well, he later found out that addiction is very real, and sneaks up on you real quick... Gabriel battled drug addiction for about 3 years... He had a real rough time... Gabriel and I were pretty close, and he talked to me a lot… he poured his heart out to me many times… we prayed together and talked… Gabriel told me that he was very ashamed of the choices that he had made, that had gotten him into drug addiction… he was a musician and songwriter, playing all over Knoxville and East Tennessee, and he said that He Felt Really Awful about the Bad Example that he was setting, for his young fans… He knew that a lot of young people looked up to him, and he wanted to be someone who helped them and showed them a better way… but he was in his own personal battle with drugs…
   ...Some of Gabe’s friends told me that when they were in High School, people came to and speak about how they did drugs, then got over them, and became successful in life… so, Gabe’s friends said, they think, “we can party a while, then stop and become successful”… but let me tell you… the chances are Higher, that you will end up with great problems in your life when you do drugs… you can get legal problems, jail or prison… financial problems, pawning everything of value that you own… you can get hurt, or hurt an innocent person… you can fry your brain and end up mentally ill or mentally challenged for the rest of your life… or you can lose your life… die young… leave your mother broken-hearted… leave your brother without his best buddy… Don’t listen to those people… just don’t go the “party for a while” route… Find better and safer ways to have fun…

Gabriel was an Artistic and Beautiful person, he Loved God, and he loved people... We want this website to reflect our love and appreciation for him...  Gabriel was a really Passionate person... Whatever he did, he did with gusto... He was sensitive, affectionate and loving... He cared about everyone, and took everyone's problems to heart... He was just beautiful... Oh, he could make me mad... but he could also bless my socks off with tenderness and compassion... He was full of enthusiasm and ideas... his mind never stopped... songs, melodies, and deep thoughts... I will miss Gabriel every day and every hour, and will continue to, until I meet him again in the afterlife... He has left a giant hole in my heart... I know that, as someone said, Jesus can build a bridge over the hole... but the hole will always be there... All I can do now is to be thankful for the 25 years that I got to be Gabriel's Mom... and to let his memory live on... inside of me...

Please Drive SAFELY too... Life is Precious and very, very FRAGILE! I never thought I would lose my Gabriel, but it happened... Please don't lose your Life, OR your Loved One... Life is fragile...  Another BIG message of Gabriel’s… which I’m sure by now he knows is absolute TRUTH… IS that we are the apples of God’s eye… He loves us so much… He created us for fellowship and companionship… He created us in His image, which means that we are spirit beings… we have a soul, which is our mind , intellect, and emotions… and we live in these bodies… but we are spirit beings… And just as our bodies need blood to carry life, (oxygen, nutrition, and water) and to carry away impurities, (to the liver and out)… Our spirit needs blood, spiritual blood, to carry away impurities, and fill us with life too… And since Jesus was born on earth, human, but was also the Son of God… His perfect, sinless, and loving blood, which was SHED for us, can cleanse us and fill us with Life for Eternity…. Benjamin and Gabriel were best buddies ever since the day that Ben, Gabriel's "Little Cheekie Boy" was born...
 Gabriel and Ben played music together, with our family band, the Newtune Missions... and then on their own when Gabriel was 14, playing guitar... and Benjy was 11, playing drums... They played together in several different bands, for years... Ben eventually switched to the guitar, and Gabriel to bass... but they were still buddies... And they made beautiful music together, well it was LOUD, but beautiful... Endeavour, Minute 61, the Invocation, etc. Ben said that making music isn't the same without his big brother, Gabriel... I've written several songs lately, I think Gabriel is helping me... I'm not the greatest singer, but I just have these songs that need to come out... The cemetery is about a mile East of I-640 on Western Ave. As you turn in the main entrance, you go straight down the hill, past three roads to the right, Gabriel is in the next section on the right... he is near the back of that little section, with the unusual shaped tombstone...  Gabriel really loved his Family... friends noticed how he always said, "I Love You" before he hung up when talking to his Mom, brother, or any of his loved ones on the phone... He was a very loving guy... We miss him so very much...

Gabriel's last voice mail message said, (partly in Hebrew) Shalom, Jesus is the Messiah, Pray for the peace of Jerusalem...
